Global Teacher Education works primarily with teacher education faculty in institutions of higher education to support our mission of developing the next generation of globally competent educators. Without teachers, however, our work is irrelevant, so we have provided this page as a resource to teachers who work to provide their students with a global perspective. The 100,000 Strong in the Americas Innovation Grants competition opened recently RFP 1 (Capacity Building) is available to higher education institutions in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.  RFP 2 (attached), funded by a donation from Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Foundation, promotes study abroad in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields and sustainable development and will be available to HEIs in the United States, Chile, and Peru.  Details on the grants competition and instructions on how HEIs can apply can be found at www.100kstrongamericas.org.
